Meet our Staff
Rev. Fr. Michael J. Antony - Pastor
Rev. Fr. Michael Jeeva Antony is hailing from the Southern part of India. After completing his high
school, he felt the call of God to Priesthood and entered the seminary to discern his vocation to Priesthood.
After spending ten years of formation, he was ordained a priest on the 22nd of May, 1999, at his home parish.
He served as a member of his order, namely 'The Missionaries of St. Francis Xavier, Pilar-Goa, India'. He
served as Pastor in the diocese of Port Blair in the Islands of Andaman & Nicobar, India, for five years. He then
served as a Formation Director in charge for the young seminarians for seven years, and also assisted in the
care of the orphans in Goa Š India, for two years.
Fr. Michael served the Archdiocese for a year as Parochial Vicar at St. Peter and St. Mark parishes. After a
yearÕs stay in India to get permission to be part of the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon, he came back to
the United States and served at Sacred Heart Church in Medford, Oregon, for six months. Now the
Archdiocese assigns him once again to Eugene to serve as pastor to both St. Peter and St. Mark.

David Sorensen, Deacon
Deacon David Sorensen was ordained as a
Permanent Deacon on June 10, 2000, and also obtained a Master's Degree from the University
of Portland in 2005. Deacon David and his wife, Lois, have been married for 41 years. After
being ordained, he served at St. Mary = Our Lady of the Dunes, in Florence, OR. When he
moved back to Eugene, he became Deacon at St. Peter Church.
Dcn. Dave enjoys reading, traveling, and helping wherever needed!
Mary Grace Wible, OFS - Music Director and Liturgy Coordinator
Mary Grace, her husband, Chris, and their three children came to St. Peter's in the
summer of 1998. She has been leading choir at St. Peter's since July, 2002 and at St.
Mark's since February 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from
Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio and a Bachelor of Science in Mental
Health and Human Services from there as well. While at Franciscan University she
professed into the Secular Franciscan Order. Also while there she met her husband.
Mary Grace has been singing in choir since grade school and has played guitar since
high school, and began leading music ministry groups in college. She favors the rich
sound of the twelve string guitar. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, but her
parents are from Lima, Peru.
Mariah Harris, SPARK Ministries - SPARK Kids - SPARK Youth
Mariah is a born and raised Eugenian. She grew up in St. Mark's Parish and liked it so
much that she started working as their Youth Minister in 1998. In 2006 her ministry expanded
when she accepted the additional duties of Faith Formation Director. Overseeing all the
activities for Pre-K thru 12 grade kept her very active and busy. The fall of 2014, once again,
brought new and exciting changes when St. Mark and St. Peter Parishes joined forces to create
one Faith Formation Program for both parishes, SPARK Ministries. For the 2014-2015 Season
Mariah was the Coordinator of Children and Family Ministries, but starting in the fall of
2015 she is now the Coordinator of SPARK Ministries, overseeing SPARK Kids and SPARK Youth.
In her precious free time you can find Mariah going on adventures with her boyfriend, Neil and
their dog Hazel. She also loves to spend time with her family and friends, cooking and eating,
watching movies & listening to music, and just enjoying life!.
Dinah Schafer-Lehmann, Business Manager
Dinah Schafer-Lehmann was born and
raised in upcountry Maui, on the slopes of Haleakala in the small "cowboy town" of Makawao.
She moved to Eugene, Oregon in the early 1970Õs, upon completion of her College years in
Olympia, Washington. Dinah and her husband, Richard, became registered members of St. Mark
Catholic Church in 1994, and in September 1996 she was hired as Parish Coordinator. After
17+ years, she continues to enjoy her service to the parishioners of St. Mark, and now St. Peter,
Parishes, in the capacity of Business Manager. Dinah thoroughly enjoys the sunny outdoors,
painting, refinishing furniture, and especially looks forward to every minute she can spend
with her family and grandchildren.
Linda Brochard, Bookkeeper
Linda Brochard has been the bookkeeper
at St. Peter Church since 1992. She also works for the Newman Center at the University of Oregon.
Linda and her husband Harry, both met in the U.S. Navy and are the proud parents of 3 children.
An avid quilter, Linda has a wonderful eye for vivid color combinations, and is known for making
beautiful quilts for friends and families.
Theresa Elliott, Administrative Assistant
Theresa Elliott joined the staff
at St. Peter in 2005. She graduated from U of O with a BS in Biology, and worked for 28
years as an ophthalmic technician. TheresaÕs husband is Dave, and they have two daughters,
two sons (in-law), and three grandchildren.
Theresa is also a musician with St. Alice Catholic Church in Springfield, and says she is
blessed to have more than one parish family!
